Nestled in the heart of Ontario’s scenic Kawartha Lakes region, the Peterborough Rowing Club (PRC) has proudly served as a hub for rowing enthusiasts, athletes, and recreational paddlers for over half a century. Founded in 1970, our club has grown from a modest group of local rowers into one of the most respected and inclusive rowing communities in Canada.
At the PRC, we believe that rowing is more than just a sport—it’s a lifelong journey of discipline, teamwork, and personal growth. Whether you’re just learning how to handle an oar or you’re a seasoned competitor preparing for your next regatta, we offer the space, coaching, and support to help you thrive.

Our Legacy
The Peterborough Rowing Club has a proud legacy of producing top-tier athletes who have competed at the provincial, national, and international levels, including the Olympics and World Rowing Championships. But equally important to us is the legacy of lifelong friendships, mentorship, and community leadership that rowing inspires.
For over 50 years, PRC has been instrumental in shaping the lives of countless individuals—on and off the water. Our alumni include coaches, educators, and leaders who carry the values of discipline, respect, and collaboration into every aspect of their lives.
Community & Inclusion
We believe rowing should be accessible to all, regardless of age, background, or ability. Through partnerships with local schools, community organizations, and accessibility-focused initiatives, we aim to break down barriers and welcome new participants to our sport.
The PRC is committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion, and actively works to create a culture where everyone feels respected, empowered, and celebrated.
